Weisin Chong

Weisin is currently a staff software engineer on Okta’s Security team. His professional experience spans across application security management, cloud platform engineering, and secure software development. Prior to Okta, he was a security engineering lead at Cisco’s Security and Trust Organization where he focused on secure software engineering for Cisco’s cloud offerings, container security, and DevSecOps. His interest areas include cybersecurity research, secure software engineering, ethical hacking, machine learning, and data analytics. In giving back to the community he teaches security engineering master’s courses at San Jose State University and is an active committee member of the cybersecurity program at the university.
